Skincare Routine Gaps

My skincare routine has come a long way ever since I decided to give it an upgrade! I now have a small selection of effective products that have truly enhanced my skincare routine. However, there are a few products I am missing in my skincare routine that I would like to invest in the near future such as sunscreen (specifically for the face), toner, and an overnight eye cream.

Lancome Bienfait UV SPF 50+ Super Fluid Facial Sunscreen

Six months prior, the only time I used sunscreen was when I knew I would spend hours in direct sunlight (usually during summer). It wasn’t until I started getting facials regularly that I learned from my esthetician that I should apply sunscreen EVERY DAY even when I will not be in direct sunlight for hours (insert monkey emoji holding hands over eyes). Sunscreen not only protects your skin from harmful UV rays but it also prevents premature aging. Instead of grabbing some Banana Boat, I decided it would be better to invest in a sunscreen that was created specifically for the face such as Lancome Bienfait UV SPF 50+ Super Fluid Facial Sunscreen. Lancome Bienfait UV SPF 50+ Super Fluid Facial Sunscreen is lightweight and fast absorbing which is perfect for everyday use. It is recommended that you reapply this sunscreen ever 2 hours but I find that somewhat impossible for those days I wear a full face of makeup. To fix this problem I am also looking into investing in a quality facial sunscreen spray as well.

Son & Park Beauty Water

I just came to the realization that I was using toner before I even knew what toner was (insert facepalm emoji). Surprisingly it was one of my first skincare investments. I purchased it years ago at the Estee Lauder counter in Macy’s (at least it was from Estee Lauder, right?). After making the important decision to invest in my skincare regimen, the idea of incorporating a good toner was necessary. Toner is a water-based liquid that helps eliminate impurities such as dirt and oil. Toner was originally created for those with oily skin, but a new wave of toners now include hydrating properties perfect for those with dry skin. Toner aids in decreasing the appearance of pores, balancing skins pH, and protection from environmental impurities. In a nutshell, toner multitasks with other skin products for an overall better complexion. Son & Park Beauty Water just might be the missing link. Son & Park Beauty Water is a multitasking toner that works as a base for skincare prep and a makeup remover.

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Bomb

I mentioned how my “I woke up like this” needed a boost in my skincare products wishlist post. I am confident to say that it has immensely improved with the help of Sunday Riley Night Sleeping Oil. I am almost certain that once I add an overnight eye cream to my skincare routine I will literally “wake up like this.” In my search for the perfect overnight eye cream, I had to make sure it has anti-aging properties. Then I came across Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Bomb. Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Bomb with Alguronic acid is an eye balm that minimizes fine lines & wrinkles, diminishes puffiness & dark circles while hydrating the eye area for a rejuvenated appearance.
