Last week I was blessed to see another beautiful year! (libra gang!) We started the celebration the weekend right before my birthday. Jason and I had lunch with Sharon (Jason’s grandmother) and Bill at Pizza Antica in Santana Row. Santana Row is a premier destination for shopping, dining, and people watching in the Silicon Valley and Pizza Antica is one of the many restaurants on The Row that has amazing pizza. On my actual birthday, Jason and I had a nice dinner at Black Sheep Brasserie, a restaurant featuring a mix of modern California and classic French cuisine located in the heart of Willow Glen. Their steak tartare is delicious! My heart and belly are so full, I could not have thought of celebrating this birthday any other way!

I was also surprised with a gift card from Sephora so you know I had to get some items from my skincare products wishlist! Here’s a quick recap of my current skincare routine: I cleanse with Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser, I moisturize with Olehenriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer, I apply a Fresh Rose Face mask once a week, and I exfoliate with organic coconut oil and raw brown sugar. The gift card was $100 and I didn’t want to spend a penny over but I still managed to get 3 of the 4 items on my skincare product wishlist.
The first product I added to my cart was the Sunday Riley Night Sleeping Oil. Prior to using Sunday Riley Night Sleeping Oil, I had no experience in using any night oils or creams. I was intrigued by the thought of being able to treat your skin while you sleep. I hate that I did not include it into my regimen sooner because it is a total game changer. After using Sunday Riley Night Oil each night in less than a week I already notice the difference! My pores have minimized, my skin looks youthful, and my skin feels hydrated. Fun fact: Sunday Riley Night Sleeping Oil goes from blue to clear once rubbed into the skin (although I prefer to rub the product in my hands then lightly press it into the skin). Only con is the smell but aside from that Sunday Riley Night Sleeping Oil is pretty promising.
The second product I added to my cart was Origins GinZing refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff. The name pretty much says it all. My eyes have been thanking me ever since I started using this eye cream. I will not start each day without it!
The last product I added to my cart was Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer, a moisturizer that promises continuous hydration with a long-lasting glow. I have yet to try this product as I am waiting until I finish using the rest of my Olehenriksen Sheer Perfecting Moisturizer first. Good news is that I’m sure it will be sooner than later so be on the lookout for a review coming soon.
